Go!ODS 2026 Economic Category Award Winner
An Evening of Recognition for Sustainable Innovation
The evening of February 26 was marked by celebration, purpose, and recognition of scientific innovation during the Reconocimientos go!ODS Awards ceremony held in Madrid. Organized by the UN Global Compact Spain and the Fundación Rafael del Pino, the event highlights initiatives that make meaningful contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Among the honorees of the night, we were proud to see Marta Ortega, our co-founder, representing GreenLight Biosciences as she received the award in the Economic Impact category. The recognition was presented by María del Pino y Calvo-Sotelo, President of Fundación Rafael del Pino and Yolanda Fernandez representing Pacto Mundial from ONU.
This recognition underscores GreenLight Bio’s leadership in biocontrol agricultural innovation and highlights the positive economic impact and transformative potential of our scientific platform. Our mission is to develop next-generation technologies that empower farmers and beekeepers while contributing to a more resilient and sustainable global food system.
Our work in advancing sustainable solutions for crop protection and pollinator health — addressing challenges such as pest resistance, environmental toxicity, and biodiversity loss — demonstrates how science and innovation can drive measurable environmental and economic progress across the agricultural value chain.
Being recognized alongside initiatives that are shaping a better future through innovation and real-world impact reinforces our mission and inspires us to continue moving forward with determination.
We are deeply grateful to our teams, partners, and collaborators whose dedication made this achievement possible. Together, we remain committed to building a more innovative, resilient, and sustainable future for global agriculture.
